How does PelviPower work?

Advanced pelvic floor physiotherapy technology. The stimulation technology embedded in our PelviPower chairs generates short magnetic field impulses which effectively train the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles by making them contract. The equivalent of 25,000 pelvic floor exercises per minute!

These contractions help to strengthen the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles, improve coordination and function in the pelvic area, strengthen the connection between the brain and stimulated muscles, enhancing awareness  and control of muscles.

Does PelviPower hurt?

No, PelviPower should not hurt. Pelvipower is an advanced form of pelvic floor physiotherapy technology. You will experience some mild pain-free contractions in your pelvic area. Your PelviPower experience should be a time to sit back, relax and let the chair do the work for you!

What happens during my PelviPower session?

During your first introductory session our clinicians will talk you through your objectives and any relevant history that may be affecting the performance of your pelvic floor muscles. Following on from this, they will guide you to the chair and set up a programme bespoke to you, ensuring you are comfortable and happy before leaving you to relax and unwind while the chair does all the work for you.

How many PelviPower sessions should I have?

A course of 8 sessions has been shown to achieve the best results. However, our clinicians will be able to advise you on how many sessions you need, determined by your unique goals.

What do I need to do before the appointment?

Before attending for your first appointment,  please fill in the pre appointment questionnaire. Completing the questionnaire prior to the appointment helps the clinician tailor the appointment more for you, gathering important information around your symptoms and goals of using the PelviPower chair.

What should I wear or bring to my appointment?

Please wear something comfortable, ensuring that you do not have clothing containing metal and you have removed any piercings in the genital area. You will also be asked before your session to remove any smart watches, laptops, phones or other electrical devices from your person but these can remain in the room with you at all times.

While you will not be able to use electrical devices like your phone during the session, why not bring a book or magazine so that you can use this time to relax and switch off.

What happens after my first PelviPower appointment?

Following your first PelviPower appointment, you will be given the opportunity to book in for a course of treatment. The number of treatments you choose (as advised by your clinician) will be added to your own PelviPower card, so you can simply call to book your next session, and insert the card into the PelviPower chair at our Bodyset clinic to kickstart your session without the need to see a clinician. Simply, easy and relaxing.

Can I use my PelviPower card in multiple clinics?

If you book a course of treatment, your PelviPower card cannot be used across multiple clinics. Please book into the same clinic for all your appointments. Should you wish to change your clinic location, then please contact our client care team on 033 0333 0435 to discuss your options.
